Is this Fall?!

I wanted to throw a picture out there of our latest fall weather! We were shocked to wake up today (October 12) and discover the world covered in snow. They kids had a great time making snowmen and forts. I was certainly not prepared with all the boots, hats, gloves, etc... that have been stashed away from last winter. I was very sad to see my beautiful flowers covered in snow. The trees and bushes were very weighted down from the weight of the snow and their fully leafed branches, so we went around and shook some of them to relieve the pressure on the limbs. I'm hoping that winter has not truly arrived.

We had a great time seeing Getti and Dave and Mom and Dad and Devin, Adee, and Dantz this weekend. They came down to visit Grandma Petersen and stayed for the part of the weekend. We were able to watch Landen's soccer game in the cold rain, play a family soccer game, share some music, and just spend a little time together. We feel so blessed to have a good family.

Congrats again to Derek and Audrey!

OH my wak! All I can think is, Sorry. That' way too early for snow in my book. It's crazy because you were just telling me last week that it might be too warm there to plant bulbs. Looks like that left quick.

The snow man is great! It's amazing how fast the seasons change. The leaves are already falling off the trees in droves here. But, with winter also comes the excitement of getting to see you guys at Christmas. We love you.
