I posted a few pictures from our Halloween adventures. It was beautiful weather, so nice that Tali actually wore just that costume when she went trick or treating. Craig took Capri this year and she loved it. He said she worked so hard to keep up the kids. Landen and Tali were so excited to be out and seeing their friends all dressed up that the family togetherness that was originally intended did not last for more than about two houses. We feel so blessed to have such a fun street with so many friends. We did Craig's annual Halloween party and then returned home to trick or treat. Breck was happy with her costume and we all had fun trying out the spray paint on her hair for the first time. If you can't tell she was Einstein. She said that a lot of the kids didn't have a clue who she was when she said E=MC2, but that the adults all got it. She always loves to be different. Landen was perfectly happy with his costume and though I should probably be ashamed, I was also perfectly happy that I'd just bought the silly thing rather than try and put together a costume that felt and looked right to him. Tali felt beautiful in her Fairy costume that was a put together ensemble from an old dance costume and some grocery store wings topped off with a necklace in her hair. I love the age when they are so easily thrilled. Capri didn't seem to get her giraffe costume until much later in the evening, but was a pretty good sport.
The final picture is of Tali with her 1/16th size violin on the day of a regional concert she recently had. She hardly even seemed nervous and played about 7 songs with probably a hundred plus other children. I love the confidence this is developing. I wanted to get a good picture of her because we are finally going to get her a bigger violin and I didn't want to forget how small both she and the violin were when we started. She loves the violin right now and loves creating songs for me and picking out primary or christmas songs by ear. We are getting in trouble from her teacher from learning the songs before it is time.
Oh, by the way, Breck's pumpkin is the skinny one next to her named Pierre. It has a small goatee and mustache.
Breck's big excitment of late is her role in the local theatre's Wizard of Oz. This is a full scale production with adults as the main roles. She is Nikko the captain of the monkeys, and also a grumpy munchkin. I had no idea what kind of a time commitment this would be. The show will run Jan-Feb and she will be in the T,TH,Sa, shows. She is excited and enjoying the experience. She is blessed to have a good friend who also made the show, so it helps the long rehersals be a little more fun. Who would have ever thought I would have produced an actress.
Landen was priveledged to spray his teacher with silly string today in an assembly because he was the highest reader in his second grade class. Highest meaning he has read the most books and tested on them, not the highest reading level. He reads usually 3 small chapter books a night. This might account for some awfully grumpy afternoons that he often has.

Wonderful pictures! It looks like you had a blast for Halloween. Talia looks so professional in her violin picture. We can't wait to hear her play. Maybe we could convince Lauren and Ryanna to bring there's for Christmas and Talia and Dantzel could join them for a quartet! Congratulations Breck on your part in the play. You will do terrific. Landon, way to go with your reading. Your a hard worker on the field and in the classroom.
That's hilarious Brecky! Those are some great costumes everybody.
See yeah soon!
