This was a special weekend for us. Landen was baptized Saturday. It was a simple meeting. Brecklkyn gave the baptism talk, the kids sang a song called "I know that the Savior Loves me." and Grandpa Harrison gave the talk on confirmation. It was a tender, sweet, talk that Lani really listened to. The meeting was lovely and Lani was very serious, and focussed. He even struggled into his suit, and new shoes, which was tricky for him. But he was trying so hard to be good and reverent. Capri refused to sing the song because she was so obsessed with a baby who had a pacifier in his mouth. She kept saying "all done" after each song or talk, and got very concerned with the confirmation. She kept saying, "what's wrong, is Lani hurt?" and couldn't get over it. Afterward, we had a lunch at our house with pizza, root beer floats, fruits and vegies, and a couple of salads and some cookies. We had a great crowd with family and friends from each side . We feel very blessed to have so much support for Lani. Getti and Dave and Mom were able to come down and spend a few days with us. Anytime anyone is able to come visit, my kids are in heaven and can hardly let them be.

This is a little shot of Landen's birthday party. He has a good grouop of boys in our area and they had a ball running around like crazy in the gym. Landen wanted to play more ball than we did, but he still had a great time. His latest is that he is obsessing with the Faith in God program that you can start when you turn eight. I think he passed off like 5 things today. His team won their first BBall game this wednesday. He even made a couple of points which thrilled him. He is estatic to begin sccouts. He put on his scout belt and hooked like 5 pocketknifes, a multipurpose tool, a flashlight, etc. all on the belt. He is still reading at an incredible rate and recently read "The Sign of the Beaver" in one night.

This is Breck in her Nikko costume. She has just one week of performances left. She loves it and is doing a great job. She is struggling to stay healthy this winter and fighting cold after cold. She went skiing with her school this week and had a ball. She had many minor mishaps and dramatic falls, but overall she enjoyed herself. Breck is a good sport and loves to try new things. She has been spending time reading up on composting, has enjoyed clay art. We recently painted a bright red circle on her wall to be the "frame" for her drawings photos, and quotes.

Capriel seems to be stepping her energy level up a notch. She is into everything especially medicine, toiletries. She still runs warp speed where she goes and is amazingly athletic. Her hair is beginning to grow over the bald spot a little bit and her vocabulary has drastically improved though her enuciation still has much to be desired. She has moved up to the 15% in her weight/height category which is an improvement over previous visits. She is very emotional and loves to go places and visit people.

Tali just wants attention. She is a precious child and just loves people. It is sometimes hard to give her all the attention she wants. She can play the last song in her book now and is working to perfect the whole book so she can have her book one recital. She has been spending some time with the primer book on the piano and enjoying that change of pace. She has been trying out leggings and headband in her wardrobe and is enjoying switching her room around. She has been a great help shopping and cleaning and getting ready for the baptism.

Probably a couple of times a day one or more of my children looks at me and says something like, "wow, Mom, the baby has gotten bigger just today" or "Mom, your tummy is sooo big!" It is taking a little humility to just nod and act like I'm thrilled to be getting this big. We get to find out the sex of the baby this week and are excited to find out what our family is going to be composed of. Pregnancy is not a fun time for me, but I think we are going to make it. The kids and Craig like to laugh sometimes at my random heavings, or nerve twinges, or whatever. I'm afraid that I'm nearly done jogging. My big project of the quarter was making a pad and cover for the bench Craig got me for Christmas. It took forever to find a fabric I liked, but it was fun to make a small improvement. I just don't find a lot of time or energy to do much beyond the everday routine. Life is good, and I feel so thankful for a fabulous family, a precious son, good friends, a comfortable home and a wonderful neighborhood.

Congratulations Landen, I wish I could have been there.

Sabina, do you know of a site that you can find the cords/notes for songs?

Congrats Lani. I wish I could have been there too. I'm sure it was very special.

Sabina I loved the post. I can't imagine you're very large at all- however I notice there are no pictures of you on the site! One of my friends Marilyn is due around the same time you are and I think of you every time I see her. Good luck with the ultrasounds this week. I'll be anxious to hear.
You amaze me.
