Talia participated in the Utah Suzuki Celebration concert Saturday night. Held at the Conference Center, the event involved 1500 children from this region who are learning an instrument through the Suzuki method. Violins, violas, guitar, piano, flute, voice, cello, and bass. They performed a couple of individual numbers as individual instrument groups and the highlight was the numbers where they all performed together. It was an incredible sound to hear, and I was amazed at how well they stayed together. Their final number was called Joyful Journey and was a written just for this night. I loved watching Talia be a part of something so inspiring-a gigantic group of children committed to working hard to enrich their lives with the blessing of music. I was thinking of the number of combined hours spent practicing in the conference center that night, and I found it mind boggling. I am proud of Talia and her determination to work hard, and I thrill to see her beautiful soul reveals through some of the peices that she really feels.
I'm trying to figure out how to provide a video of the final song or at least a youtube link.
