so, yesterday we got up at 7 and cleaned like mad till 10:45 , and then we packed a quick lunch and shoved everyone into the van with a couple of soccer chairs and the DVD player and drove to Layton for the finals of landens pioneer cup tournament , which by the way, they won.
it was fun to watch lani haul it to keep up with the 5"4" tall boy that he was supposed to "mark" he stopped him though every time , and was a great help to his team.
after all the pictures and trophy waving and cheering we once again got into the car to head north to Logan to look at some houses, we looked at four , none of which we were interested in,except for one, and it was too expensive.
for one of the houses a very solemn man let us in. he was the owners brother and some what of a cowboy. when dad asked about the house and the area, (which was very scarce on houses and people,) he replied" well, honestly, ....... it AIN'T what it used to be"(followed by some sad head shaking) "all these people...., I used to think of myself livin and dyin' here, but i just don't know any more." i felt bad for him.
at a different house, we finished looking at the interior and proceeded to the back yard . dad opened the shed/garage and jumped back as a pit bull came charging out, it knocked rhyse down, and ran in a frenzied circle around me, the poor realtor lady was trying her best not to panic and to calmly talk the dog into coming back into the shed, but the dog had different ideas.
it sprawled onto the grass and dragged his back legs as if they were broken, as dad tried to haul him back in. rhyse was clutching landen and whimpering, she was afraid of every other dog we sighted at the other houses , even a little black and white cocker spaniel at the last house. dad finally got him into the shed and we left.
we got back into the car and went over to paradise to visit Shaun peck, who is a artist, and a lawyer, and has 9 kids, i am in the middle of two girls the older one is Maddie and she was really nice, she answered my questions about schools , and teachers , and we had cookies and ice cream . and walked around on the lawn and looked at the chickens and pigs and bees .
by this time we were covered in chip seasoning, ice cream ,and sweat, but we still looked at a couple more houses.
we had dinner at texas rodehouse, and we were enjoying it, and relaxing when rhyse, ( who had eaten only cookies, chips and ice cream that day) threw up. we then cleaned it up with the nice cloth napkins and quickly left.
we survived the long drive home, complete with skipping CD, rhyse rebelling against her seat belt, capriel loudly commenting on everything until she fell asleep , trying to wrestle rhyse back into her seat belt for the thousandth time, and everyone just plain tired, when we got home we dived into our beds and slept for a long time
