Sister's Weekend

Brecklyn and I had the opportunity to fly home to Washington for our sister's weekend. We had a wonderful, busy, baby filled time. I think I'll just list a few of my favorite highlights.
Mostly, I was grateful for the time to be reminded of the blessing and support of family. I so enjoyed my time to talk with everyone, think new things, enjoy the peace of their property and area.
Jogging with Kjirsti and fighting off the dogs
Taking walks
Walking the property and seeing all the potential
Talking about decor and remodel
Caring for babies and being reminded of how fast time is going

Dad was a little outnumbered this trip. I had a great time trying out "the horse" (rototiller) and helping to organize boxes, talking and keeping him awake on the long drives to and from the airport :).

This wasn't apart of our sister's weekend, but since it happened right before we left, I just inserted the pic. Laurana and Sonja and Nicki are our dear friends. We had a wonderful day together, simply talking and listening and playing. I am so blessed to have friends who are such marvelous examples. They truly enrich my life and give me purpose, hope and joy. Thanks for coming!

On the day we flew out Breck got her braces off. This was a MUCH anticipated moment, and she was, to say the least, extremely nervous for her final appointment that it might not actually be her final visit. Her fears were unfruitful and she did end up getting her braces off and walking the red carpet out of the office (of course I wasn't there to see it.)

Here is her after shot with Brielle and Keiton. I think she looks dazzling, partly because of her smile and partly because she obviously loves her nieces and nephews.

Killing time at the airport with Talia's travel safe package. Our flight was as eventful as you might imagine with two babies who want only their mother. They are certainly a busy bunch, but we all survived. I did realize that taking dramamine and trying to help care for babies is probably not the best combination. It makes me so fatigued, and I had a tricky time trying to not fall asleep while I helped.

Doing hair and makeup. Breck did my hair. We also did pedicures another time. I'm not sure I've ever had painted toes, and now I even have flowers on them!

Seems like get togethers always involve yummy but excessive food. Chocolate cake, homemade bread, and pizza, taquitos, fondue for conference, Adalee's dynamite spaghetti and breadsticks.
Playing Quelf- Dad's "take a picture of me" and Mom's emergency trip to the bathroom and made-up words.

Shopping day! Lots of babies, not enough treats, Mom taking forever, and all of us cramming inside a photo booth with three screaming babies!
Taking Adee to her PT appt.
Watching Dantzel's soccer game and making a fool of ourselves in the rain. Being silly.
