Talia's Concerto in G minor, Allgro
The above link should take you to Tal's song.
Talia performed Tuesday night. She did an excellent job. This was our first go at using an accompanist. In the past I had played the songs for her. This gave us a chance to practice often and also gave us an infinite advantage in that I knew exactly where she might make any deviations, or have any difficulties. But this recital was unexpected and I hadn't practiced the song. It was too difficult for me to master in the allotted time, so we hired an accompanist. This woman was wonderful, though also very demanding and outspoken. Talia had two extremely intense difficult rehearsals trying to prepare for the concert. In the end, I was incredibly proud of her composure, and discipline. It was a completely different story to play with this accompaniment, and I thought she did amazing at still putting her interpretation into the song as well as staying together. Great job Tal!
