Capriel's 6th Birthday!

Capriel was lucky enough to share her special day with ALL her family.  It was Grandma and Grandpa Harrison's 60th wedding gala and we had fun! 

Here is Capriel (a little embarrassed-getting sung to for her birthday during the celebration for Grandma and Pa.  This is such a typical half excited/half embarrassed face of hers.  We have had many comments lately on how Capriel captures your attention by her personality.  It really is true.  She is larger and faster and wilder than life!  I hope to never forget her whipping and muscling herself around during the wrestling matches with her boy cousins.  She was so quick, fearless, and brutal, yet the whole time smiling and having a ball. 

A few days before her birthday Kjirsti and Brecklyn helped pull off a little birthday party for her.  Winter Tea Party was our theme.  We had all the girls dress up and bring a "friend" to enjoy our party wtih.  We had lots of fun!  Breck was the star of the show.  She painted snowflakes on their cheeks and nails,  as well as drew the frog that they all tried to kiss.  The girls enjoyed trying out their fancy party manners during our tea party and were awesome at the ettiquete games and relays.  It was lots of fun especially with Scotland and Kjirsti here to help and participate.

Capriel was literally bouncing off the walls during this party.  She was a good host, gracious and friendly to all.

Here is a favorite picture of her at the anniversary party in all her western get-up that was necessary for the Home on the Range number the children performed.  She has such an infectious smile and bubbly personality. 

Capriel is really growing up.  She is very sweet and trying so hard to be honest.  I can't tell you how many times she will slide over to me and whisper.  "I ate two cookies, I'm sorry; or I snuck into the crackers, I'm sorry; or I had a tortilla and ketchup with no beans, I'm sorry" and then look seriously up at me with her sincere eyes.  I'm not sure if her honesty efforts are helping her make better choices, but they sure are helping her confess her wrong ones!  She has been spending lots of time doing art up in her room, and can make her bed incredibily well.  She loves school, and is very responsibile with her homework and reading.  She is really enjoying learning and I get such a kick out of seeing her wheels turning and her desire to know things increasing.  She still gives wonderful hugs, slides around on her back on the woodfloor, and moves faster than any of us can keep track of.  I love you Capriel!  Happy Birthday!
