We are missing a few things about our Centerville Home. First and foremost our friends, but this is not to be a sober post. So here are a few pics I wanted to put down that remind me of what we are missing.
Rhyse-we miss our sweet, calm, mellow Rhyse. Since moving here she is become much more active, vocal, opinionated, and LOUD. She has made unpacking extremely difficult at times. I just try to work faster than she can mess up. I feel since we've moved here that she's really started to become a little girl. She plays pretend, "I the Mom, you the Dad," "run-the shark is getting you" "hold the rope, I save you." She dances and dresses up as a "princess." She has learned to pedal, and will often call out on her bike, "look Mom, I pedalling FAST." So even though we miss the baby we had in Centerville, we are quite interested to see what this little fuzzy blonde headed squacker of a girl is going to be like!

The kids specially painted rooms, the millwork I chose-etc... So when my dear sister Kjirsti was here she helped me paint my pantry door-orange. I love it and know it will always remind me of her and our love to be a little crazy and make a statement. Funny, she really doesn't have anything really crazy in her house decor-maybe she just has fun with mine and then goes back to her perfect and serene decor?!! The picture makes it look more orange than it is-though it is pretty shocking.

We loved our little garden and have missed the late summer harvest. We have, however, made a great haul with our fruit trees. Talia picked three boxes of apples from one tree. She looked like such a little farmer on the ladder with her gloves (they almost all have wormholes). It has been fun to discover the difference in taste in a fresh apple. We are looking forward to carmel apples, apple crisp and apple pie!
So though we are missing our old home and friends really bad, we are also having some great experiences and learning opportunities. We love the tennis court and lights to extend our play time. We love our office to do homework and crafts in. We love the quiet spacious open neighborhood. We love to see the mountains. We love to have a huge master bath where we ALL get ready (ok, usually not Lani) on Sundays. We love the big tub (though to be honest I've not yet found time to use it). We love the third car garage to put all the sports and yard stuff in. We love having Dad come home on and off for lunch. I discovered a little bike path just up the road that we went on a walk as a family on Sunday. It is basically a canal road that follows an irrigation canal. We discovered some ancient and producing apple trees, lots of milkweed plants, an old rope swing, tree fort and bridge. It brought back a lot of memories of all my walks down the canal roads in Moses Lake.
Things are never going to be quite the same as they were in Centerville, but slowly, sometimes very slowly it seems, we are starting our own little life here in North Logan.

I guess you just need to get out here and make me do something crazy!
We miss you. Julia and Anna are often saying how much they wish Brecklyn was here. We hope you are getting settled and hope you will feel settled soon. Hope you are all well! - Lori
