While the big kids went river tubing with their Dad, the little girls and I stayed cool by the river making fairy houses. We hunted for a souvenir book. Their were blue and green lizards all over.
After our Zion's day we stopped at the Oscars a Mexican/Southwest restaurant. I remember how dirty and messy we all were and how the restaurant seemed a little too nice and expensive for our crew. Craig didn't care.
On one walk Landen spotted lots of turkey vultures. I remember watching him run ahead of our butterfly spotting slow moving family to see if he could capture a few shots. This is what he discovered. I loved standing with him, watching him run so effortlessly on the beautiful country road, and just thrilled with his aviary discovery.

Wow! What a trip. The pictures are stunning! I hope we can join you down there sometime. It was so fun to hear all these stories, somehow with all that was going on i never really heard about this trip. Thanks!
The shots you got are beautiful. I regret never visiting Zions while I was in Utah. What an adventure. I'm sure the fond memories will last a lifetime.
Thanks for sharing your memorable adventure.
