They are getting BIG!!!

Here is Ann, Queen of the tupperware.  The chicks are growing so fast and ready for a new home.

Here is Breck and Rhyse making my Fzookie b-day treat.  It was very yummy and thoughtful of Breck.  A fzookie is a cookie cooked in a cast iron pan which helps it to be both soft on the inside and chewy on the outside.  Then you top it with ice cream and chocolate sauce.  What a treat.  Landen picked me a bouquet from the neighbors flowers, and Capriel brought me a bouquet that Joyce (our neighbor) helped her pick.  Talia and Breck and I went to a nursery for a b-day outing, and Breck bought me a Thai basil (one of my favorite varieties).  It was a wonderful day.  I decided to gift the children with a free music day, and tried to do things with the kids that I love to do.  We picked a bouquet from the yard, did some dancing, and went to watch Breck play indoor soccer.  Breck cooked up a b-day breakfast and decorated my door with special notes.  It was a wonderful day to talk with family and friends and enjoy my family. Thanks everyone.

Here is a favorite shot that we enjoyed for a couple of weeks outside the kitchen window.  Spring here is gorgeous and I gained a new appreciate for redbuds and Canadian red chokecherries.

Breck caught this shot of Prilly enjoying the spring flowers.  I love that she just settled herself down in the middle of these "snow on the mountain"  flowers.  She adores the outside, and Pepper and

We have a lot of our garden in.  We've been waiting some because of technical difficulties with our rototiller.  It has seemed a little overwhelming because of the much larger space.  How excited we are to see how things grow.  We have been enjoying the asparagus considerably.

Rhyse is a our gentle, kind chicken whisperer.

Breck's Parmesan has grown exponentially in the last few weeks.  Breck continues to try to "tame" her ducks, but she currently has lots of scratches on her arm from her training sessions!  Th

Capriel had her graduation day for playgroup this week.  She has had a lot of fun with her friends, and is ALWAYS happy to go somewhere.

Finally, after far too much deliberation we ordered and picked up our chicken coop.  We decided to save some money and paint, shingle, and wire it ourselves.  Here we are in action!  All the kids wanted a yellow coop.

Rhyse was very helpful and focussed on doing the painting right.  I love these shots because of her body language and her outfit in general.  Craig took her up to change her diaper and get her some suitable painters clothing.  This is how she returned!

I think we all gained a greater appreciation for the roofing industry.  It is loud hot work, but I think that we all learned alot and nobody lost a thumb.  All in all, this coop was a fun project though, as always, more time consuming and labor intentive than we expected.
