Talia finished a successful year in rec soccer. It was a fun year because she was the very oldest of the two year span, so she was a STAR!!! She played so well this year, and was known for her strong powerful kicks, her amazing defence, and her ability to cover the whole field.
It was a fun team because it was composed of almost 2/3 of girls from our ward. Talia loves people and doing anything with them.
This is a terrible shot of Breck's choir performance. She was a little tentative about choir at the get-go, but in the end I think she really enjoyed it. It was fun to hear them singing songs from "the good ol days." I especially loved the two part singing and the signing to "I see the Light."
Here is Lan getting an award for being the top school reader. I think this is his fourth year in a row to recieve this award. Reading is something I take for granted at our house, because it seems to come so naturally and is just fun. I hadn't been to one of these assemblies, and I don't think I'd really realized how much he has read, but I felt a sense of pride for who he is. I think some of it comes from the challenges he is facing currently, but I feel that I've recieved some insights into the special spirit that Landen is. He is a gifted athlete, undoubtably, but he is also a kind, good, polite boy in social situations. His teachers rave about what a good influence he is. I'm grateful to be getting to know him better. On to Middle School!
